First Truth: There Is No One Fixed Price
If anybody tells you:
“Microphones cost ₦20,000 in Nigeria.”
That statement is incomplete.
Because what they don’t tell you is:
- Some prices don’t include the receiver
- Some don’t include charging case
- Some are copy versions of popular brands
- Some sellers don’t allow testing
- And dollar rate changes supplier cost almost every month
That’s why you’ll never see one clean price across the market.
What I Tell Customers in My Shop (Based on Real Sales in Enugu)
After selling to creators, podcasters, church media teams, and business owners here in Enugu, here’s the honest breakdown:
- Under ₦20k → Basic, manageable quality. Good for beginners, but don’t expect magic.
- ₦25k–₦60k → Clear upgrade. Better battery life, stronger signal, cleaner sound.
- ₦70k+ → Professional level. More stable connection, better noise control, longer durability.
If someone promises “studio quality” at ₦12k, that’s marketing talk.
Not reality.
A Quick Story
Last month, someone walked into my shop with a cheap mic bought online.
It worked for 3 days. Then it stopped charging.
The seller stopped responding.
He ended up spending more replacing it than if he had bought quality once.
Cheap can be expensive.
Before You Buy Any Microphone, Ask These 5 Questions
- Can I test it before payment?
- What is the real battery life?
- Is it original quality or copy version?
- What happens if it develops fault in one week?
- Does the price include everything?
Those questions will save you more money than chasing the cheapest price.
My Advice
Don’t buy based on price alone.
Buy based on value, testing, and after-sales support.
If you’re in Enugu and want help choosing the right microphone for your content, ask questions first.
Good audio makes people stay.
Bad audio makes them scroll.
